One of the 'big names' of French winemaking, Chapoutier makes reliable, top-quality wines. This is a Grenache, syrah, carignan, mourvèdre blend.
The name Tricastin comes from a warrior tribe of the region : the Tricastin, who were a pre-Roman Gallic tribe defeated by the Romans. This wine certainly has plenty of fighting spirit with spice and cherry fruits and finely integrated tannins. A blend of Grenache, syrah, carignan and mourvèdre.
