Aged in oak for twelve months this merlot-dominated wine has a fantastic texture and fresh fruit expression.
St Emilion - the town and the wines - have long been popular with the British and this wine demonstrates why. 70% merlot, 25% franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon are in the blend. The vines have an average age of 40 years, giving the grapes good character and depth. Nicely textured wine with balanced tannins that make it a great wine for food.
